The song “Funky hoo” from 1995 is considered one of Steve Rich's biggest hits and is now being digitally remastered for the first time.
As a special commemoration of his 40th anniversary as a Universal artist, Steve Rich has dedicated a song to himself (+ a pop remix). The main lyrics were written in 1984 by André Sommerfeld (aka Ace Base), who created the first hip mixtapes with him.
To celebrate his 40th anniversary, Steve Rich is delighted to be releasing his album “40 years of Steve Rich” on December 1, 2024. It is a great collection of long-lost songs from his early work from 1995-2005. All songs have been digitally restored and remastered by him personally. As special fan material, there are also a few new remixes and a new songhyme for himself “Steve Rich Theme” as bonus material. New album release "Art will never die"
It is with great pride that we present what is certainly the most innovative electronic music album in the last 20 years of music history! The title "Art will never die" is the programme and a clear message to today's music business, which has clearly overslept this trend!
Mr Steve Rich has succeeded single-handedly and again in the shortest possible production time without the help of AI in seamlessly connecting to all the well-known music classics and finally bringing them into the new robot and AI age. The opener "Automatic Intelligence" is a track that has been long overdue for many years and will bring tears to the eyes of all die-hard fans of real electropop music. This important album therefore closes a huge musical gap and gives hope again.
But also the absolutely brilliant piece of music "Human transforming", which will certainly be played in clubs, is absolutely convincing with its commercial hit potential! Tracks like "Household Robot" sound melodically traditional, but are much more modern compositions and therefore fit perfectly into our new age.
In "Digital Food", the artificial nutrition of food is finally questioned in a humorous way. And in "Art in every dimension", Mr Rich shows his absolute skill for minimalist sounds and melodies, which he has moulded into true works of art
